2016 #TweetaPitch winning film ready for its premiere!



Mei Leng Yew, winner of the We The Peoples #TweetaPitch competition has now completed her film, titled ‘You Can’t Do Nothing, Can You?’ The 28 minute film explores community resilience in a time of heightened immigration issues, dealing specifically with refugees and how local populations can take action to support those in crisis. The We The Peoples film Festival is delighted that the film has been shortlisted for screening in the finals of the Koreo Prize, a national storytelling competition which aims to unlock fresh perspectives on 6 pressing social issues: community resilience, gender equality, social mobility, wellbeing, social housing & food security. Based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, the Koreo Prize gives young creative people an opportunity to explore in inequalities of today through whatever medium they choose.
